TH has developed a reputation for excellence based on 130 years of outstanding education for girls. Our extremely positive learning environment brings out the best in the pupils from age 3-18 and the close rapport between staff and girls mean that they realise their full potential. Our girls achieve consistently high results at all Key Stages going back decades, resulting in success accessing places at the UK’s most prestigious universities. The calibre of our teaching staff and their commitment to their pupils is second to none. We offer a dynamic and forward-looking curriculum within a highly supportive and nurturing environment. Achievements of all are celebrated, girls give of their best in whatever they do. Our education is broad and holistic, girls excel on the sports field, on stage, in the science lab, in public debates; whatever they do, they do with commitment and passion. Our pupils are happy and can be themselves, as there is little peer pressure and a strong school ethos based upon principles and consideration for others. We hold regular Open Days at Talbot Heath however, parents and prospective pupils are most welcome to visit and tour the School during term time. Our main Senior and Junior School Open Afternoon takes place in October and is a wonderful opportunity to see the school in action, the facilities and meet with staff. We hold a dedicated 6th form evening the following week. Junior School also hosts a second Open Morning in March. Tours of the school are possible at any time during the academic year and will normally be with one of our Sixth Form students. Boarding families may wish to spend additional time touring the Boarding House and meeting with the staff. Mrs Holloway, Head and Mrs Pugh, Head of Junior School are keen to welcome all prospective parents and pupils in person to offer them an insight into the School and to establish a relationship with each family. We encourage all prospective pupils to experience at least one Taster Day prior to joining Talbot Heath. We find that by doing so the girls become familiar with the school and are more relaxed when they sit the Junior School assessment and the Senior school entrance exam before eventually joining us. Arrangements can also be made for an overnight stay/weekend for prospective boarders. Parents who would like to register their daughter can do so at any time; prompt registration is recommended to avoid disappointment due to potential waiting lists. The admissions team are keen to ensure that our admissions process is straightforward and smooth for all prospective parents and pupils. Please contact Mrs K Wills, Head of Admissions by telephone: 01202 761881 to make an appointment for Senior School applications and Mrs K Chantry on 01202 763360 for Junior School.
