The Gregg Prep School is a happy and friendly independent school in the heart of Southampton, catering for children aged 4-11 years old. We teach a broad-based curriculum to inspire children to achieve their potential.

Our most recent ISI inspection stated that: “Teachers know the pupils well and tailor activities to meet pupils’ needs.” , “Pupils behave well in lessons as well as in the playground and around the school. This is because leaders ensure that there is a clear behaviour policy in place that outlines effective rewards and sanctions.” and “Pupils develop effective linguistic, literacy and numeracy skills through a daily focus in these areas of learning. Staff have secure subject knowledge and use resources effectively to help pupils gain a greater understanding in lessons. As a result, pupils make good progress from their starting points, particularly in Maths and English.”

Childhood years should be fun so we encourage children to get involved in school life in a range of ways – be it school plays, taking on roles of responsibility, engaging in sporting, creative and academic after school activities, going on school trips, or being motivated by our rewards system. All of these activities boost children’s self-esteem and self-awareness.
