Ipswich High School, is a vibrant day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 3-18, set in an idyllic 87-acre campus in Woolverstone on the banks of the River Orwell. With approximately 530 pupils, everyone at Ipswich High School is well known as an individual. We have small classes of hard-working pupils and inspirational teachers who help to instil a love of learning; the results of which are exceptional academic outcomes year-on-year.
We are just as ambitious outside of the classroom and pride ourselves on the huge breadth of our co-curricular programme, through which pupils have the choice of over 100 activities which take place as part of the school day. We also offer a home-from-home boarding experience in our stunning newly developed boarding houses. Above all, our ambition is not to make our pupils fit a pre-defined view of what they should be. We believe in getting to know every pupil and using our school to inspire them to achieve more than they previously thought possible and to leave us believing there are no limits to what they can achieve.
Our private tours are bespoke, tailored to your child(ren)’s needs and will allow you to experience our unrivalled school community first-hand. You will meet the teachers who will guide and nurture your children throughout their time at Ipswich High School, see our current pupils thriving in our unique rural location and explore our first-class facilities.
During each bespoke private tour, you will meet either our Head, Head of Prep School, Head of Senior School or Head of Sixth Form, as well as members of our passionate and highly experienced teaching staff. You will also have a personal one-to-one appointment with either our Head or our Head of Prep School, so they can learn more about your son or daughter, discuss the next steps in joining our school and provide you with the opportunity to have your questions answered personally.’
