Named Public School of the Year by Tatler in 2024, the College is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading schools.

Our broad liberal arts curriculum aims to cultivate intellectual entrepreneurs; boys who can critically evaluate nuanced ideas from multiple perspectives and apply their knowledge to craft meaningful solutions to complex problems. Our boys are incredibly well-prepped for the challenges of public examinations and our results evidence this. But we know that life doesn’t have a syllabus, so we place great emphasis on co-curricular activities, and developing the personal skills that will allow our boys to flourish in an increasingly globalised world.

The co-curricular programme is unrivalled for its breadth and depth. On land and water, we are renowned for sporting excellence and sportsmanship. At the sharp end, boys leave us with professional contracts and major scholarships to universities in the UK and around the world, but we give boys of all abilities the support to achieve their goals. We regularly have more than 500 boys representing the College on a Saturday, which evidences a strength and depth that few other schools can match. Music is at the heart of Radley life and with three concerts, 30 rehearsals and more than 500 music lessons a week, every day is enriched by the joy of live performance. Alongside orchestras, choirs and chamber ensembles, we have our own record label and host regular jam nights for rock bands, DJs and producers. Our exceptional theatre hosts full-scale dramatic and musical productions all year round. Directors lead enthusiastic casts of boys and a professional Theatre team, to create spectacular performances. Radley’s sector-leading partnership programme, which supports schools and charities locally, plays a critical role in our boys’ preparation to be leaders of the future.

We are proud to be a full boarding school. Every boy finds a home in one of our 11 Socials, where a committed pastoral team supports his development and ensures he always puts his best foot forward. In Social, boys join a band of brothers who will have their back through thick and thin. These relationships contribute to the deep sense of community spirit and camaraderie across the College. The whole College meets together in Chapel every day and at mealtimes, so boys develop friendships and mentorships across year groups. Above all, Radley is a kind and happy school.

Open Days

Our Open Days include a full tour of the College with our pupils, presentations by the Warden and a senior prefect, a Social (boarding house) tour with a Tutor (housemaster) and lunch. We welcome up to 70 families to each event. The day starts from 9.45am and finishes around 1.30pm. If you are unable to attend an Open Day, we are happy to accommodate personal visits.
