Spring Grove School

Spring Grove is a happy, family school for boys and girls aged 2-11 set in 14 acres of beautiful Kent countryside. The school was rated ‘excellent’ in all aspects in its most recent (2023) ISI inspection, and is a Good Schools Guide school – read the review here.

Spring Grove is located in Wye, between Ashford and Canterbury, and close to the high-speed train link into London St Pancras. As an independent Prep school it offers research-led and innovative teaching coupled with a wide range of extra-curricular activities,  preparing children for both grammar and senior independent school entry and scholarships. Spring Grove children are happy and confident, and the school is renowned for its friendly, family atmosphere.

Spring Grove Nursery, which caters for children from the age of 2 to 4, is on the same site as the Prep school, and while it is a safe and separate space, the preschool children benefit from sharing staff and facilities with the older children in the school. The Nursery also has its own beautiful walled garden where the children play all year round.

Outdoor learning is integral to the Spring Grove curriculum, and all children from Nursery upwards regularly visit the school’s award-winning Forest School, situated on a permanent site near Wye. The school has an active pupil-led Eco Committee, and is an Eco Council Green Flag school.

Spring Grove has long had a reputation for its excellent music, dance and art, and the school was recently awarded Artsmark Gold by the Arts Council of England in recognition of its outstanding performing and creative arts provision.
